Long Elevator Pitch

Hello, I am Eileen and have had a camera in my hands since I was 7 or 8 years of age.  Don’t remember if any of those pictures were great or not but know I was bitten with the travel bug at an early age. My mother like driving places and taking us to cultural activities where ever we lived or to the city to see Radio City Music Hall. Going to the beach or the local public swimming pools.

A multimedia producer of photographs, flash, XHTML, CSS, and other multimedia internet technologies. In word(s), Nerd, Geek, Artisticgeek,  and striving for more nerdy and geeky.

With lots of pictures from a trip around the country and more driving trips since have spurred me on to take more and show more. My pictures have a theme of Serenity about them and usually look like postcards. The pictures have been sold at craft fairs, State House gift shops, and small gift shops. At the time, I made small cards with 4×6 pictures pasted to the folded card where many people took them and put them in a 5×7 frame.

At this time, I am looking for other methods of selling the pictures whether that be as digital copies or online postcards, finding the right market and those who want them is of interest to me. Doing assignments of shooting an area or family or a informal wedding photographer have been part of my past. These gigs were a one shot job where the pictures were shot and given to the customer where they made them into whatever they desires.

I love taking pictures of people on vacation but have not tried to use that to get model release and see if I could sell the pictures. It is usually casual as I am walking around being a tourist.

If you have suggestions on how my pictures can become an income, send them to me. Remember the time and effort for the return is the biggest problem of a one person non mass produced product and making a living.

For now I enjoy showing them on my website with a story behind them of places I visited or parks I go to just to walk around and shoot pictures.
