Photo Tips: Colors enhance, pop, focus, and balance a photograph
Going through my pictures looking for color, I remember the umbrellas. I love color umbrellas and bringing them into a picture for lines, shapes, and balance. They add a mood to a picture, an emotion, and serenity because of their balance.
Colors_Town Country San Diego Photo by Eileen Ludwig
This dull space was enhanced with these color umbrellas. With shadow and light, as a photographer I am able to capture the beauty of the space that the designer was creating with the tables, chairs, lattice fencing. This is how designers come together to present beauty. The designer of the space and the designer in the photographer.
Colors_San Antonio River Walk Photo by Eileen Ludwig
The colors make the San Antonio River Walk pop. The designer picked color for the table and the umbrellas with a great black for the chairs to give a wonderful Mexican feel to this Mexican Restaurant. The color umbrellas are great when walking on the over head bridges from one side to the other offering the photographer great chance for a wonderful capture of the scene. Love the shadows and light shining through onto the space along the walkway.
Yellow Umbrellas Beach photo by Eileen Ludwig
The Yellow umbrellas were nicely set up allowing me as the photographer to use the lines, shadows, and colors to create an endless photograph to the Ocean. The flowers in the barrel add a very nice touch to the whole scene. Noticing the scene is important and photographers must have an eye for beauty as they go about the world. This picture was featured in an earlier posting called Tranquil Day at the Beach with Yellow Umbrellas
SeaWorld Lighthouse Framed by Nature in Pink with Blue Skies Photo by Eileen Ludwig
Love this picture with all the colors throughout carrying the eye throughout the picture. The Blue skies, pink flowers, blue green water and blue on the lighthouse with the black and white whales makes this s wonderful photograph. Finding and framing this picture was the skill of the photographer using the materials present in assembling them into the perfect picture. Colors bring this picture into a really nice balanced serene photograph. This picture was previously featured in Photowalk Theme Park SeaWorll.
As usual, I could pick out many pictures and had about three other ones to add to this posting but will end here and they will have to appear in something in the future. Make it a great day!

Wow, how to make ordinary table and chair settings vibrantly alive. Really good perspective.
As you say, it’s often the photographer who can truly bring these out for all to see in a new way.

Usually, when a person took a shot from a distance, there are certain parts in the picture that are blurry. But looking to your pictures, it was all clear. And I love the way you bring life to a picture like those ones.

There are lots of photo editors which are used nowadays but with the post that you have here, I was able to gain new knowledge when taking clear photos. I certainly agree with what you have said here. As a matter of fact, I love all your photos because they look nice, clear and presentable as well.
I was down in San Antonio not too long ago and I remember those colored umbrellas and thinking how nice it was that they matched the tiles on the tables! How funny that you have a picture of them here. I do also like the pale yellow in the beach… there is a time for festivities and a time for peace!
These are great examples of the use of color in design. I think your capturing of these spaces (especially minus people) really showcases what those who created these spaces were intending. The balance within the frame really enhances the colors and the depth of these images. They make me want to step right in, have a seat and put my feet up!
