Photo Tips: Go to FREE Westcott Live Photo shoot at Photoshop World on Expo Floor

Westcott sets up photo scenes with props, backgrounds and models at Photoshop World on the Expo floor. Access to the Expo Floor is FREE for two days. If you can’t afford the entire conference go to the Expo Floor for educational sessions, meeting other photographers, graphic designers, or instructors. Lots of sessions, books, and lighting experts.

Three pictures of some props with a background at the Westcott Photo scene on Expo Floor of Photoshop World. These photos have not been manipulated in Photoshop in order to give you the real deal.

The coloring will depend on your computer screen. Three bracketed shots. Which is you favorite?

Many of those who are taking the pictures for the contest have long lens and huge cameras. Don’t let that intimidate you. Everyone can learn by going and listening to suggestions and just trying shots with whatever camera you have. And it is fun, fun, fun.

They change the scenes every day. The lighting is done professionally so you can see the setup, talk with others on how it is setup. And the models are amazing. Sitting, posing, changing poses, just for you …… and a thousand other people. Getting close is the challenge for the Live Model scenes.

Three more pictures with a live model. It was fun to watch others, listen to the lightening expert, see what others were shooting and just take the picture. FUN!

Now there is a First Shoot extra value pass for Westcott photo shoot to aim for. So many extras are limited in size. If you go to the whole conference, you must sign up early for everything. Get the Speedpass for a front row seat with a table. Go to the parties for the networking and fun. Just plan on doing it all. For me there is no time for the destination because I attended everything. But in 2011, I only went to the expo.

Photoshop World movies its location from East Coast to West Coast and I believe one overseas in England once.

Photo Tips Night Pictures

Best way to learn is to do. Experiment. Hesitant to post Photo Tips because the pictures were interesting but not perfect. Decided Interesting is ok because that is how I learn. Some shots are not meant to be with the tool being used but as a Photographer it was necessary. It was too much fun to see the results. Thought it would be fun to show you what I did and find out which ones you like. Here goes nothing, LOL!!

Took this picture of the Carousel in motion and thought – oh – I should take a steady show – but I love the motion – What do you think?

Now it is stopped. I like this one too BUT am drawn to the motion one. It is blurry which makes me feel it is wrong but that is part of the intriguing part of it, at least to me. Want to practice these types of shots a lot more and become very good with creating photographic art.

Night photography with lights is something I need to read up on more but sometimes the best thing is to just get out there and try it. This was one of those nights. What a lovely relaxing peaceful night after a great day at Legoland, Winter Haven, Florida

Photo Tips Night Reflections at SeaWorld Christmas Celebration

Love trying more things and stretching my photographic knowledge of my camera by going out and shooting pictures. With a small camera, it goes every where with me so I can shoot and capture my environment. Taking night pictures again at SeaWorld was on my mine after these first three. From above of the whole Ice Skating rink was my goal. Last year I saw a capture someone else got and thought next year I would go upstairs. I watch the Ice Skating show twice this night. The balcony shots are the early show. Love these. Have fun looking. Which are your favorites? What is it you like about them?

Love this blue and the reflections. The lighted tables are so cool to see at night. The bags of light are plastic with light bulbs but gives the neighborhood look and feel to this Christmas Market Area of SeaWorld Christmas Celebration

Funny when taking the pictures the focus for me were the lighted trees. Later seeing the reflections it was gorgeous. A Serendipity accident to create a simply wonderful Christmas card like picture – my favorite – wait until you see the next one

Ice Skating Stage Fountains Christmas Trees SeaWorld Photographer Eileen Ludwig

Now isn’t that really lovely with the fountains sprouting up in colors, the creek bridge and color light trees all reflecting into the Ice Skating rink. Another great surprise. The surprise helps me remember the next time to capture things on purpose. Learning from the serendipity moments is so important for creating even better pictures.

Now these next three are from the Balcony of Bayside Stadium where my intent was to capture the color of the fountains as they played in time with the music along with the colors on the stage that changed too. Synchronizing my shots with the rise of the water was more challenging than anticipated. Continue clicking. Pushing the button and your eye seeing the water rise are not in sync – just shoot!

Love the colors in the one above. The fountains just aren’t high enough but it does have a nice Christmas Card Feeling. Seeing the after spray of fountains as they retreat back into the pipes creates a night effect. The Sea Trees Reflecting in the background just adds nice depth.

Love the snowflakes on the Ice Rink. The green fountains are a nice focal point to bring the viewer into the picture and through it left to right or right to left. Snowflakes bring your eye to the center. The view from below is very different in its joyous wonder.

The height of the fountains is fantastic with the White Birch trees on the Stage peppered with color lighted trees. My only wish was this had all the colors of the fountains but I still like it. Most of the trees even the Sea of Trees are white at this point. The snowman in the lower right has a spot light on him. It just has a great Christmas feel for a place in Florida.
