RhettandLink created a video about a T-shirt war and posted it to YouTube where many people liked it. Their video became ubiquitous on the Internet and gained the attention of companies looking for a new and engaging way to advertise. Lucrative contracts can come from seemly unknown places by experimentation and ingenuity. Coca Cola and McDonald’s employed the group to make a commercial for them for TV.
How did they do it? For the video they became famous for, they changed t-shirts over 100 times. A company called Rush T-shirts made each individual t-shirt used in their video. This stop motion animation became the T-shirt war seen by huge audiences and resulted in a TV commercial made for Coca Cola and McDonald’s:
